Farmers and forest owners across the world are keen to support each other by sharing expertise. Partnerships, mentoring, encouragement and trust are the basis for cooperation between Finnish experts and Farmer’s Organizations in countries of project implementation.
Our projects concentrate on farmer-to-farmer support and advice. By sharing your expertise, you act as a coach and an adviser to the supported organization. You give advice on the organization’s internal development and share your expertise on agriculture, forestry or other rural industry such as aquaculture. You create a confidential relationship with the organization, its employees and its members. Your expertise is required to assess the durability and suitability of the measures presented by the organization you support.
It is required that your activities are supported by your organization.
The twinning program is developed based on evaluation, its effectiveness and context.
The twinning approach was evaluated positively in 2017, which showed the effectiveness of peer support.
